Description
Condition: This is an awesome looking mid 60s Mustang bass with a great blue finish. The finish has developed a slight patina in areas giving it a greenish hue. There are various scratches, nicks, dings, dents, chips and weather checking throughout the instrument. Some dings have a small amount of touch-up paint on them. The neck has a warp around the 12th fret and where the neck meets the body. It is most visible on the bass side. We have done some fret work to compensate for this and the neck is very comfortable with great playability up and down the fingerboard. The truss rod is currently tightened all the way but functions fine. All electronics and parts are in excellent working condition.
Body: Solid double-cutaway body in a blue finish. String-through-body design with a chrome tailpiece and four individual saddles. Chrome control panel with dual black plastic control knobs. 4-ply pearloid pickguard with a black plastic thumb rest. This model features strap buttons on both the body and headstock.
Neck: Nicely rounded, slender maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1.5” nut. Open-gear chrome Fender tuners, 30” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Split single coil pickup with master volume and tone controls.
Pickup: 9.92K Ohms.
Weight: 7lbs, 12.0oz.
Playability/Sound: This bass has a super cool vintage vibe. The pearloid pickguard and blue finish look great together. The slender neck is exceptionally comfortable and the pickup offers plenty of output for a dynamic sound with plenty of volume.
Case: Includes original hardshell case. The handle on the case has been replaced. The case is otherwise in good working condition.
