Cosmetic Condition: Wonderful shape for its age & very clean for the most part. It does show some natural "aging" like finish fade & weather checking, but overall it's in very nice condition.
Neck: Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & clay dot inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 3/16" nut width; 14" scale length. Neck is straight & plays great up & down the fretboard.
Body: Contoured, solid alder body in 3-tone sunburst finish. The red tone has pretty much faded from the top of the mandolin, but you can still see it in the back of the body. Top-loading bridge with two adjustable saddles & original bridge cover. 4-ply tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks. Mandolin weighs a delightful 3 lbs 11.6 oz.
Electronics: One single-coil pickup with brown cover - 5.68K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with knurled knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
