Description
What makes this guitar special: 100% original & in wonderful shape for its age. Just recently acquired from the original owner who took great care of the guitar over years, making this one a very fine example indeed. Warm, rich tone with huge sound projection - perfect for strumming or fingerstyle. The semi-chunky mahogany neck features the more desirable 1 11/16" nut width & plays great up & down the fretboard. Professionally inspected by the experts at Cream City Music & set up by our luthier with fresh strings & low action, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Really nice condition for its age with mild play wear - various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & weather checking. The previous owner drew a green shamrock on the inside back bracing. The bridge wings have pulled up ever so slightly allowing a single piece of paper to be slid underneath them, but truly for the most part the bridge is very firmly attached to the top with no playability issues. Overall the guitar looks marvelous & shows off a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded, semi-chunky mahogany neck with cream binding. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show some light wear, but have plenty of life in them. Kluson Deluxe strip tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.
Body: Round shoulder dreadnought body in natural finish. Solid spruce top with 3-ply binding. Rosewood bridge with adjustable saddle. Mother of pearl dot inlays & cream end pins. Large tortoise plexi pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Mahogany sides & back with single ply cream binding. There is no pickup. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 4.5 oz.
Case: Vintage hardshell case included.
