Description
Condition: This is a great playing vintage guitar with a gorgeous Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard! Most notable is a very large chunk of wood broken off of the top of the headstock. While cosmetically unappealing, this does not cause any playability issues. The body has been re-finished and a large area of the treble side horn was routed out beneath the pickguard. There are some cracks around the screw holes but not of them affect the playability. The wiring, pots and pickups have all been replaced but are in perfect working condition. The neck is mostly straight and the truss rod functions fine. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear with heavier wear towards the lower registers.
Body: Solid double-cutaway body in white finish. Fender Dynamic Vibrato Bridge with unoriginal trem arm. The screw to hold the trem arm in place is missing but the arm stays in place just fine on its own. Chrome control panel with black plastic control knobs and a 3-ply tortoise pickguard with slider switches.
Neck: Slender maple neck with a lovely Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. Some of the finish has worn off the back of the neck giving it a great, sleek feel! Pearloid dot inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Sealed Fender tuners with ivoroid buttons, 24” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Single-Coil pickups in the neck and bridge with master volume and tone controls and dual on/off/phase switches.
Neck: 5.11K Ohms.
Bridge: 5.35K Ohms.
Weight: 7lbs, 0.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a great sounding player’s grade vintage Mustang! The neck is very comfortable and suitable for virtually any playing style. The pickups sound excellent and the phase switches offer plenty of tonal versatility.
Case: Includes unoriginal tweed hardshell case.
