Description
Condition: This is an awesome looking player’s grade vintage Musicmaster! The body has been refinished in metallic red. There are various scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the instrument. There are some scratches and blemishing on the metal parts. There is a large section on the back worn through to the bare wood from buckle rash. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear with heavier wear towards the lower registers. The neck is mostly straight and the truss rod functions fine. Some re-soldering work has been done and some wiring is unoriginal. Pickguard is unoriginal and the low E string tuning machine has been replaced. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid double-cutaway body in metallic red finish. Tope-load hard-tail bridge with three saddles, chrome control panel with black plastic control knobs and a 4-ply tortoise pickguard with slider switches.
Neck: Slender maple neck with some gorgeous bridseye figuring throughout the back and headstock. Beautiful Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays and a 1.5” nut. Kluson Deluxe Double Stripe tuners with a Single Stripe tuner on the low E side. 24” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Single-coil pickups in the neck and bridge with master volume and tone controls and dual on/off/phase switches.

Playability/Sound: This is a great sounding guitar with an excellent sounding pickup. The tone control can be used to get an even warmer tone from the guitar ideal for rhythm playing. The pickup on its own provides plenty of warmth and clarity in the high end to cut through a mix. The slender neck is very comfortable and ideal for players who prefer a slimmer neck profile.
