Description
What makes this guitar special: A lovely true vintage beauty offering classic Gretsch tone & wonderful playability. Set up & ready to play upon arrival.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear typical for its age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great vibe to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Wide profile maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & red side-dots. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl thumbnail inlays. Frets show some wear, but have plenty of life in them. Different tuners were on the guitar at one time as evidenced by the additional screw holes, but the originals are now back on. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Single-cutaway, semi-hollow maple body with top binding & simulated F-holes. Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with compensated bridge. Pickguard is missing. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 15.5 oz.
Electronics: Original HiloTron single coils with silver bezels. There were different bezels on at one time as evidenced by additional screw holes. Master volume & individual pickup volume controls with "G" Arrow knobs. 3-way pickup selector, tone & standby switches. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: Newer Gretsch hardshell case included.
