Description
What’s special about this guitar: This is a great playing, awesome sounding vintage 1964 Gibson SG Junior. This guitar looks incredible. It has the nice, deep beveled edges that you don’t find on newer SG’s and with the exception of some finish blemishes that are mostly on the back, the finish is in great shape for the guitar’s age! This one has a headstock crack that has been professionally repaired. This means someone can nab a vintage SG Junior in otherwise great shape for a very affordable price! The original P-90 sound awesome. The tone is very clear and rich with plenty of body and top end sparkle.
Condition: This guitar is in great shape cosmetically! There are only some light surface scratches and a few tiny dings throughout the top. There are larger scratches, dings and several finish blemishes across the back (see photos). As previously mentioned, there is a headstock crack that has been professionally repaired on the back of the headstock/upper portion of the neck. While the repair is visible, the repair was done well and there are no playability issues whatsoever. The fingerboard and frets are in great shape with only light play wear and tons of life left in them. The neck is very comfortable with great action up and down the fingerboard and the truss rod functions perfectly. All electronics and parts are original and in perfect working condition.
Body: Solid mahogany body with beveled edges in cherry finish. Compensated, wrap-around bridge, dual skirted control knobs with silver inserts and a 3-ply black pickguard.
