What makes this guitar special: A gorgeous pre-CBS Jazzmaster with all original componentry and dazzling playability. The neck carve on this piece is phenomenally comfortable, a full C shape that trends a little thicker as you move toward the upper register. Truly superb, especially when compounded with the silky smooth Brazilian rosewood board. This one was professionally refinished in a metallic green at some point in its past, similar to Sherwood Green but with a bit more blue. In any event, it’s a very cool and well done refin, and beyond the finish, a completely original pre-CBS guitar. It’s been professionally setup and inspected by our expert in-house luthier, and will arrive ready to play out of the case.
Cosmetic condition: Superb condition for its age. The finish on the body shows some surface and handling scratches, as well as some wear on the lower bout from where the arm rests. There are a handful of small scratches, dents, nicks, and dings on the neck and fingerboard, but nothing that hinders playability. Original frets do show some wear, but still have a great deal of life left in them.
Body: Solid alder body refinished in metallic green with 3-ply tortoise pickguard, six saddle bridge, and Fender Pat. # vibrato tailpiece.

Neck: Full profile C-shaped maple neck with off white side dots and clay dot inlays. Beautifully variegated Brazilian rosewood fingerboard is in awesome shape and shows very little wear with only some minor pitting near the first position. 1 11/16” nut width, 25 1/2" scale length. Original gold headstock decal and Kluson Deluxe tuners in perfect working condition. Neck date reads Sep. of 63. Neck is straight and truss rod is fully functional.
Electronics: Original black bobbin single-coil pickups (Bridge-7.44K ohms, Neck-7.55K ohms) with 3-way pickup selector switch and white skirted knobs, 1x volume, 1x tone. 2-way lead/rhythm switch and dual roller-wheel controls. Pots date to ’63 and all electronics are fully functional.
