Description
What makes this guitar special? This Vox Constellation IV is a very unique bass with a stellar look and a vintage vibe. The small round neck has a very different feel, but is very easy to move around nonetheless. Between the aged parts, design, and finish, this bass has some serious mojo. The built-in effects are a clever design and add an even more dynamic angle to an already one-of-a-kind design, especially the distortion which goes from a loose overdrive to a tight velco fuzz. More than anything else, this bass is just straight up fun to play and has a feel and features you won’t find many other places.
Condition: This bass is in fair condition overall. It has various nicks, dings, dents, finish cracks, and scratches throughout the body and neck and the pickguard curls a bit from age, but does have some irrefutable vintage vibe. The frets show only light wear and still have a lot left in them. The truss rod functions as it should.
Body: Bound teardrop-shaped semi-hollow body in Cherry. Raised tortoise pickguard. Fixed bridge with two threaded barrel saddles and a bridge cover. White/cream top hat knobs and black pickup rings.
Neck: Small round maple neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with white dot inlays. Open-gear tuning machines with clover leaf knobs. Heel adjust truss rod wheel.
Electronics: Two single-coil pickups. 1 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector. On-board effects include distortion, treble/bass boost, and G-tuner tone generator for tuning.
Weight: 6 lbs 14 oz
Playability/Sound: The small round neck has a unique in-hand feel, but plays great nonetheless. The pickups and hollow body construction provide a genuine woody tone, while the built in effects take its sound to a whole new level.
Case: Includes hardshell case.
