Description

What makes this bass special: An interesting no name bass from the '60s with a very European look to it. The previous owner believed it may have been manufactured in Czechoslovakia, but that has not been confirmed. It features a thin, hollow body with two single coil pickups & a beefy maple neck. The bass has a warm, thumpy tone to it & is a lot of fun to play.

Cosmetic Condition: A true vintage look with various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. There's a small crack in one of the pickup rings, hence the large washer, however, overall, the bass has a cool vintage vibe to it with a nice patina.

Neck: Super chunky, five-piece maple & walnut neck with nicely aged cream binding. Dark rosewood fingerboard with cream dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear, if any. A portion of the headstock binding is missing & the two bass-side tuners are unoriginal. 1 9/16" nut width with zero fret; 31 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod function.

Body: Single-cutaway, hollow maple body with bound F-holes. 4-ply binding on both the top & back. Trapeze tailpiece with adjustable bridge on a rosewood base. 16 1/4" lower bout width & the bass weighs 6 lbs 9.2 oz.

Electronics: Two single coil pickups. Bridge - 7.38K ohms; Neck - 7.54K ohms. Dual volume & master tone controls with large white knobs. All electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Unfortunately there is no case for the bass.
