What’s special about this guitar: This is a phenomenal sounding vintage 60s Silvertone Model 1454 hollow body electric in a beautiful sunburst finish. This is an exceptional version of this model given that its very clean, has excellent playability and the pickups and electronics are healthy and sound as good as ever! Features include a Bigbsy tailpiece, three original single-coil pickups, flame maple top and back and a super comfortable maple neck with bound fingerboard. The three-pickup configuration really adds some nice versatility and the individual pickups on/off switches allow the player to use any combination of the three pickups they desire. It’s rare to find this model in such great shape so this guitar is a must-hand piece for any Silvertone collector!
Condition: Great shape overall, especially for the guitar’s age! There are various minor scratches, small nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the guitar with consistent weather checking throughout the finish. The guitar actually has just the right amount of play wear to give it an authentic vintage look yet remain considerably clean! The fingerboard and frets are in very good shape with moderate play wear and plenty of life left in them. The nut has been re-glued but works perfectly. The neck is super comfortable with great action and the truss rod functions perfectly. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: double-bound single-cutaway body with a maple top, back and sides in sunburst finish. Bigsby tailpiece and a height-adjustable bridge. Skirted control knobs, dual f-holes, a 4-ply tortoise control panel with three selector switches and a 4-ply tortoise pickguard.
Neck: Super comfortable maple neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid block inlays and a 1 ¾” nut. Open-gear tuners, 24” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Original single-coil pickups in the neck, middle and bridge with volume and tone controls for each pickup and an on/off selector switch for each pickup.
