Description
Condition: Good condition overall! Various surface scratches, nicks, dings and dents throughout the instrument. The neck is relatively straight with a hump towards the middle. The angle of the neck is causing high action. As the guitar is currently set up it makes a perfect slide guitar. The truss rod does work though doesn’t have a huge effect on the neck. Fingerboard and frets have moderate play wear but still have some life left in them. This guitar would benefit from some fret work. All electronics and parts are in good working condition.
Body: Solid body with bound gold sparkle top and cream pearloid back. The top and back have developed a beautiful patina giving this piece an awesome vintage vibe! Trapeze tailpiece, height-adjustable metal bridge, plastic control panel with dual roller controls and pickup buttons and a clear pickguard with black edges.
Neck: Chunky neck the gets slimmer toward the nut with bound rosewood fingerboard, white inlays, a zero fret and a 1 ¾” nut. Nickel open-gear tuners with ivoroid buttons, 24.5” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Four gold sparkle top single coil pickups with master volume control, master tone control and pickups selector buttons labeled master, 1, 4, 1+4, 2+3, off.
Weight: 6lbs, 2.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a very unique guitar. The pickups offer a very distinct sound and can range from very bright and chimey to warm and jazzy. The thick neck is quite comfortable and suitable for any playing style. The higher action make this an ideal slide guitar.
