Description
What makes this guitar special: Outside of the fact that this is an outright fantastic vintage guitar with tons of character, especially for the money, the entire thing centers around a pair DeArmond gold-foil pickups. They alone are worth the cost of this guitar, as they possess excellent tonal characteristics you won’t find in many others, if any. For starters, the neck has a wonderfully wide response with a nice and chunky low end, slightly scooped mid-range, and incredible top end clarity few pickups maintain in the neck position. The bridge has a bit of bite and ton of vintage jangle that makes for great tone no matter how you use it. The body is resonant, the neck plays easily, and despite decades of love marks, it still plays great for being around 50 years old.
Condition: This guitar is in good condition overall. It does have various nicks, dings, dents, scratches, chips, gouges, and other forms of wear, but still sounds and plays just fine. The frets show mild wear but are even and still have a good amount of playing time left in them. The fingerboard has a wear divot between the nut and 1st fret, specifically between the G and B strings, but does not affect playability. There are three larger scratches near the output jack, but do not penetrate the wood and are therefore stable. The case is in good shape structurally, but the outside is beginning to peel in a few areas.
Body: Single cutaway double-bound hollow body in Sunburst finish. Unbound F-holes. Adjustable rosewood bridge and trapeze tailpiece. Unoriginal amber bell control knobs. Unoriginal pickguard. Unoriginal switch plate.
Neck: Round D shape bolt on neck and stained maple fingerboard with dot inlays. 3-per-side open-gear tuning machines with white buttons. 1 11/16” nut width.
Electronics: DeArmond Gold-foil pickups in the neck and bridge. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.
Neck: 11.20k Ohms

Playability/Sound: The chunkier D shape neck plays surprisingly easy and plays equally well with chords as it does leads. The DeArmond gold-foils sound absolutely phenomenal. The neck is big, rich, and full of character with an incredibly sparkling top end. The bridge has a ton of vintage pop, bite, and jangle.
Case: Includes hardshell case.
