What makes this guitar special: This 1417 is a great player, with a cool vintage look and great tone to match. It is in completely original condition, with a great vibe and stellar playability. The lipstick pickup provides that classic Silvertone sound, with lots of warmth and bite. And with a professional setup from Cream City Music included, you can be sure it will arrive ready to play.
Cosmetic condition: Used but not abused with plenty of real deal wear throughout. There are various scratches, dents, dings, nicks, chips, and scuffs present, with areas of finish wear throughout, and plenty of finish checking. Much of the finish on the back of the neck has worn away with time, and there is visible oxidation on the hardware.
Body: Semi hollow poplar centered body with masonite top and back. The pickguard is in excellent condition with one small crack near the top mounting screw, but no lifting. Stainless steel bridge with rosewood saddle.
Weight: 5lb, 11oz
Neck: Poplar neck with gray side dots and white dot inlays. Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard is in excellent condition with almost no visible wear, and frets have a ton of life left in them. Dolphin nose headstock with raised Silvertone logo and original open gear tuners with cream colored buttons. Aluminum nut measures 1 5/8”. 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight and plays wonderfully up and down the fretboard.
Electronics: Original lipstick pickup with 3-way switch and white cupcake knobs. All electronics work great. Pots date to ’60.
