Description

What makes this guitar special:  Warm, rich tone with a beautiful acoustic resonance & a nice, beefy neck for superior comfort.  Cool vintage vibe with a gorgeous sunburst finish & professionally set up by our luthier so it plays like a dream.

Cosmetic Condition:  Great shape for a nearly 60-year old guitar.  Various minor nicks & dings; surface scratches & mild weather checking.  The original tailpiece broke & was replaced with a newer chrome one.  The original tailpiece is included with the guitar, but is missing the bottom half.  Also, at some point in its life there was a pickguard mounted to the bass-side of the guitar as evidenced by the extra holes & bracket impression in the side.  A previous owner had converted the guitar to a lefty & added side-dot markers to the treble-side of the neck.  The original nut was also replaced.  Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a wonderful patina.

Neck:  Chunky, one-piece mahogany neck with cream side-dots.  Beautiful, dark Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays.  Original frets are in great shape with hardly any wear.  Original Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition.  1 11/16" unoriginal nut; 24 3/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body:  Double-bound, hollow maple body with dual F-holes.  Unoriginal chrome trapeze tailpiece & unoriginal, compensated rosewood bridge with floating base.  Original tortoise pickguard is in great shape with no cracks.  Guitar weighs 5 lbs 13.8 oz.

Pickup:  Original 'dog ear' P-90 single coil - 7.86K ohms.  Master volume & tone controls with original gold 'top hat' knobs.  All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Case:  Period-correct, brown hardshell case manufactured by Stone Case Co included with the guitar.
