Description

Cosmetic Condition:  Gorgeous guitar with some pretty bird's eye figuring in the top.  There is a 2 pressed into the back of the headstock, indicating it was a factory second.  Exactly why is hard to tell, but perhaps it's due to the slight inconsistency of the maple figuring in the top & the way the burst finish looks lighter in certain sections.  At any rate, there are no issues with the guitar's sound or playability; in fact it sounds amazing, with a beautiful resonant tone.  It's a true vintage piece of course, so there are various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches & finish checking.  Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.

Neck:  Chunky mahogany neck with nicely aged cream binding & tortoise side-dots.  Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays.  Original frets are in great shape with hardly any wear.  Unoriginal tuners in perfect working condition.  1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length.  Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.

Body:  Double-bound, single Florentine cutaway, hollow maple body with dual F-holes.  Long trapeze tailpiece with wrap-around bridge; nickel hardware.  Unoriginal 5-ply black pickguard.  Guitar weighs 5 lbs 10 oz.

Pickup:  Original P-90 single coil - 7.70K ohms.  Master volume & tone controls with original gold "top hat" knobs.  All electronics are in perfect working condition.

Playability / Sound:  Nice, low action - neck plays great & is very comfortable.  Warm, rich tone with nice acoustic resonance.

Case:  Unoriginal vintage chipboard case included.
