Description
A vintage 1957 Fender Vibrolux tube combo amp in player-grade condition. This amp has been modified to use a 12" speaker. While not a boon for an amp collector, this mod takes the tone of this Vibrolux to a whole new level. With it's full-sized speaker, this is the biggest-sounding tweed Vibrolux we've ever had in our shop. Aside from the speaker mod, this amp is largely original. Only the handle, On/Off Switch, and electrolytic capacitors have been replaced. All transformers and signal path circuitry are original. It even includes the rare original footswitch.
Soundwise, this amp has the classic narrow-panel tone. A deep woody clean tone that quickly turns into a thick mid-focused overdrive. Dime it out for that Neil Young "my amp is about to explode" sound. To top it off you get a smooth all-tube vibrato to add to the mood when you take a break from soloing. Perfect for small stages, studios or man caves! This rare, vintage amplifier has been cleaned and serviced. It is fully functional and sounds absolutely fantastic.
