Description
What makes this guitar special: Its diminutive size belies its massive sound - warm & rich sounding with a gorgeous resonance. The wide-grain spruce top appears to be Adirondak, which probably accounts for its powerful sound projection. Despite its less than stellar appearance, the guitar has a wonderful, true vintage look to it with a really great feel & vibe.
Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear, just the way we like it - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The center seam down the top has opened up a bit, but has been like that for years & is quite stable. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.
Neck: Nicely rounded, somewhat chunky mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but not too much & have plenty of life in them. Open-back nickel tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning.
Body: Small body flat top with 2-ply binding on the top & back. Solid spruce top appears to be Adirondak with a beautifully figured Brazilian rosewood bridge. Tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Mahogany back & sides with cream end pin. 14 1/2" lower bout width; 10 3/4" upper bout width; 4" depth. Guitar weighs a delightful 3 lbs 14.4 oz. There is no pickup.
Case: Vintage chipboard case included. Even the case has an ultra cool vibe to it!
