Description
What’s special about this guitar: This is a very cool vintage Epiphone Century archtop that has been stripped of its finish, electronics and parts. Though in need of some work, the guitar itself is in good structural shape and once fitted with proper parts will be ready to play. This is a perfect opportunity for someone to take one of these and modify it to their liking resulting in a great playing guitar with an awesome vintage feel!
Condition: The guitar is in good structural shape! The finish, electronics and parts have all been stripped except for the tuners and tailpiece. The binding is coming loose in areas and will need to be fixed if not replaced. There are two large holes on the lower side of the body. One is from the output jack and the other is a square shaped hole that has been filled in. The original pickguard and brackets are missing. The fingerboard and frets do show some play wear and will need some work. They do have some life left in them however. The neck has been inspected and is in good shape. The truss rod functions perfectly.
Body: Double-bound arch top body with maple top, back and sides. Nickel trapeze tailpiece and dual f-holes. There are two open holes for controls and one filled control knob cavity.
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1 5/8” nut. Open-gear tuners with ivoroid buttons.
Weight: 5lbs, 3.3oz.
Case: Includes a hardshell case.
