Description

What makes this lap steel special: A wonderful little lap steel that's light weight but tons of fun to play! The single coil pickup is the same as a Tele bridge pickup & kicks out gorgeous, bell-like tones that seem to ring for days. Complete with its original tweed hardshell case, this beautiful Champion would make the perfect addition to any collection.

Cosmetic Condition: Pretty good shape actually, considering it's approaching retirement age - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; scratches, weather checking & some finish wear. The pearloid finish is actually in good shape & has aged nicely over the years, giving it a beautiful patina.

Neck/Body: Solid poplar body in pearloid finish. One-piece nut/headplate with Fender engravings. Original tuners are in good working condition, however, the buttons are replacements. String-thru bridge with serial number 5229.

Electronics: Original single-coil pickup - 6.86K ohms. Master volume & tone controls with knurled dome knobs. Unoriginal pots date to '79 & all electronics are in good working condition.

Case: Original tweed hardshell case included.
