Description
Condition: Various scratches, nicks, dings and dents throughout the finish. There are some cracks in the finish but this is merely cosmetic. There is some rust and corrosion on some of the metal pieces. The finish has developed a gorgeous patina giving this lap steel and authentic vintage look and vibe. The felt has completely worn away on the back. One of the nails for the serial number plaque has fallen off but the plaque is still holding on fine. Fingerboard has some scratches but is in overall great shape. Control knobs are unoriginal. Currently equipped with a bone nut. The nut tends to lean slightly but works fine. Tuning buttons are unoriginal. The pickup has newer Rare Earth Magnets installed which helps give it a phenomenal sound. All electronics and parts are in perfect working condition. This lap steel requires an amphenol cable to be plugged in. An adapter is included in the case that works great.
Body: Solid body with rounded bottom edges and sloped shoulders in a pearloid finish. The finish has developed a gorgeous patina! One-piece metal tailpiece/bridge and control plate. Dual knurled control knobs.
Neck: Square neck that graduates toward the headstock with beveled edges. Black fingerboard with painted rectangle fret markers, 2” bone nut. Three-on-a-strip nickel tuners, 23” scale length.
Pickups/Electronics: Single-Coil pickup with master volume and tone controls.

Playability/Sound: The pickup on this lap steel offers a very unique, vintage sound. It can be very bright or warm depending on how the tone control is set. The string spacing is very comfortable and suitable for any playing style.
