What makes this bass special: Featuring a 4-ply laminated body, TRBJPII custom pickups, a solid brass bridge and a 26-fret neck. This updated version features a new 35’’ scale neck plus active controls & a 3 band EQ to John’s specifications. The 4-ply body is constructed from multiple layers of alder, ash & figured maple to deliver a heavy low-end while retaining its punch and clarity.
Cosmetic Condition: Superb condition - very clean & like new.
Neck: Bolt-on maple neck with 40" radius ebony fingerboard & abalone inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Yamaha Japan tuners with pearloid buttons in perfect working condition. 2 3/16" nut width; 35" scale length. Neck is straight & double truss rods are in perfect working condition.
Body: 4-ply laminated body featuring a special combination of different wood material to provide optimal resonance over the entire range. The body is constructed from plies of figured maple, ash, maple and alder. The slap cut features on the body also offers greater string access, minimising any crossover between notes while playing. Large solid brass bridge that produces a clear and articulate sound for added clarity and punch. Gold hardware; bass weighs 11.25 lbs.
Electronics: Custom Alnico V Pickups. These double-coil pickups produce a clear tonal image, whether you're playing individual notes or chords. The 5-control active electronics system integrated into the TRBJP2 produce a wide range of tonal variation, delivering everything from subtle transitional nuances to heavy, aggressive riffs that will ring out in any environment. The controls include: pickup balancer, master volume, bass, middle and treble for optimal control over your tone and overall sound.
