What makes this guitar special: This is an absolute sleeper of an acoustic guitar. Perfect for both beginners and intermediate players alike, the solid Sitka spruce top produces a lovely acoustic tone that is reminiscent of more expensive instruments, but without the associated price tag. The Nato wood back and sides have a waterfall mahogany-like appearance and tonal character, but with a little extra sheen to the sound that makes it stand out all on its own. Add in the functionality of the preamp with its 3 band EQ, and you can dial in your acoustic sound to sit exactly where you need it to in the mix. Plus, it comes with a professional set up from our in-house tech, so it is guaranteed it play great right out of the case.
Condition: This guitar is in very good, if not better, condition. It does display some light surface scratches as well as a number of very small scuffs, dents, dings, and chips, but is in overall great shape for a used instrument that has seen some use. The frets are in excellent shape, with very little wear, and have tons of life left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod functions just as it should.
Body: Double bound cutaway dreadnought body with a solid Sitka spruce top and laminate Nato wood back and sides in Brown Sunburst finish. 5-ply black and white purfling. Tortoise shell pickguard. Black/white multi-ring rosette. Ebony bridge with black plastic bridge pins with white dots.
Neck: Slim rounded C shape Nato wood neck (.80” at the 1st fret, .94” at the 9th fret). 21 fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl micro dot inlays and black side dots. Pearl Yamaha logo and “leaf” headstock inlay. Chrome sealed gear tuning machines. 1 11/16” nut width. 25.5” scale length
Electronics: System 55T 1 Way preamp system with piezo under-saddle pickup. Preamp has a 3 band EQ, master volume control, on board tuner, and an AMF notch control.

Playability/Sound: The slim profile neck fits very comfortably in the hand and with the cutaway body shape, access to the highest registers is simple. Acoustically, the guitar has a fairly warm character with a pronounced low end that doesn’t get too boomy. The midrange has a strong presence, while the top end is clear with plenty of chime. Plugged in, the electronics recreate a fairly accurate representation of the acoustic tone, but with a small tweak of the 3 band EQ, you can shape the tone to be spot on.
