Description
Handcrafted in Japan, the extraordinary projection, clarity & responsiveness of Yamaha's flagship FG9 R steel-string acoustic guitar makes it an ideal instrument for singer-songwriters. It delivers outstanding projection while providing exceptional clarity & detailed articulation, a unique combination especially suited for accompanying vocals. Featuring an Adirondack spruce top with tapered edges, providing structural strength while allowing the body to vibrate more efficiently - a combination that contributes to both power & sensitivity. The neck has a new structural design that combines bolt-on & glued construction to increase body vibration & improve maintainability. Neck & body joints are finished & adjusted with high precision. The distinctive fingerboard inlays resemble traditional Japanese Kumiki woodworking while the rope-shaped inlay & purfling on the rosette is a motif deeply rooted in Japanese culture. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
