Description

This is an awesome and rare instrument from 1982. Part of the iconic wing series; with their unique body design and a classic tone to fall in love with. This Washburn Wing Series T-Bird Deluxe was manufactured in Japan's famous Matsumoku factory where some of the best guitars were made. This guitar is in very good condition for a 40 year old guitar. This particular guitar is a pretty rare one of these models. A small number of 1982 T-bird Deluxe guitars, like this one, were made with a set neck, a maple fretboard, and the serial number stamped on the back of the headstock.

Cosmetic Condition: This guitar is in fantastic shape for being made in 1982. It has everything that is expected with a gigging guitar. There is a good amount of surface scratches on the front of the body, and a fair amount of 'buckle-rash' on the back. There are some various finish scratches on the side of the guitar on the lower bout treble side. The original nut has been replaced with a brass nut of an unknown manufacturer. The tuning machines have been replaced. And the pots have been replaced as well. It has various little nicks, dings, scratches, etc., associated with typical playwear.

Neck: This guitar is fitted with a maple neck and fingerboard with black dot inlays. The neck is straight, and the truss rod works perfectly.

Body: This guitar features a solid flame ash body with a gloss finish. This guitar weighs an astonishing 6 lbs. 13 oz.
