The Takamine EF508KC acoustic-electric guitar is nothing short of stunning, both visually & sonically. The smaller NEX-shaped body is crafted with figured koa for the top, back & sides, a tonewood prized for it's warm & natural sound that starts out a little bright, then mellows out gradually with age. The comfortable mahogany neck plays like butter & features beautiful snowflake inlays fit for a guitar that looks this good everywhere else. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape for its age with just some mild surface scratches. The word USED is stamped into the back of the headstock.
Neck: Mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with snowflake inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Bound headstock with rosewood veneer & gold Gotoh tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound with cutaway. Solid koa top & back & sides with abalone rosette. Rosewood bridge with split saddle & mother of pearl dot inlays. The bridge was professionally reglued. There is no pickguard & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 14 oz.
Electronics: "Palathetic" under-saddle pickup & CT4B II electronics DO NOT FUNCTION.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
