Description

An absolutely fantastic playing mandolin with a loud, bright & powerful voice that projects exceptionally well. The solid spruce top combined with the rosewood back & sides makes for the perfect combination of tone woods to come together & produce one of the most beautiful sounding mandolins we've had in the shop recently. Fresh strings & low action ensure this M-2 s ready to meet your playing needs upon arrival.

Cosmetic Condition: The clear coat finish has deteriorated in several spots throughout the mandolin & chipped away. There are various little nicks, dents & dings along with surface scratches.

Neck: Mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets show a bit of wear, but have plenty of life in them. Open-back strip tuners with black hardware. 1 1/8" nut width; 14" scale length.

Body: Solid spruce top with 4-ply binding & offset soundhole. The soundhole is placed in a low vibration area. This way the hole does not hinder sound & the area that would normally be just a vent in the top is now contributing to the tone & volume of the mandolin. The one piece solid steel tailpiece is sturdy, simple & makes it very easy to change strings. Compensated, solid ebony bridge & clear pickguard. Solid rosewood back & sides with single-ply binding. There are no electronics & the mandolin weighs 2 lbs 11.9 oz.

Case: Original hardshell case included.
