Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a great-playing 5-string bass with great tone, extensive controls, and a killer look to boot. Although the overall look is pretty fantastic between the quilted maple top and Black Cherry finish, the real highlight of this bass is its combination of pickups and controls. The EMG-HZs sound excellent with just about any balance of the middle and bridge, with a ton of up front and punchy character through and through. The controls include a 3-band active EQ that allows players to properly dial in exactly what portion of the dynamic range they want to boost, creating a vast range of tone from low end thump, to mid-range punch, and crisp high-end. The slim satin finish neck plays great from the nut up into the cutaway and is very manageable for a 5-string. In addition, for a used instrument, it is still in great shape and will undoubtedly serve its next owner well between its great look and better tone.
Condition: This bass is in very good condition overall, if not better. It only shows a few small dings, dents, and chips, as well as light surface scratches, but is otherwise in fantastic shape. The frets show only light wear and still have a considerable amount of playing time left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.
