What makes this guitar special: Only 500 of these were produced for one year in 2000 & this gorgeous example is number 81. This limited edition, handmade 12-string is similar to the one Carl Wilson played in the 60's. As one of the founders of the world renowned Beach Boys, Carl & his Ric played an extensive role in creating their early sound. Featuring that classic checkered back binding & tons of absolutely stunning flame figuring all over the body, this is a definite must-have for any Rickenbacker aficionado.
Cosmetic Condition: Superb condition - exceptionally clean & like new. It still has the Made In America sticker on the pickguard!
Neck: Nicely rounded maple & walnut neck with white binding & black side-dots. Beautifully figured rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Slotted headstock with Ric Deluxe tuners in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rods function perfectly.
Body: Semi-hollow maple body with tons of eye-catching flame figuring throughout. Bound "slash" hole & bound back with checkered pattern, just like the 60's models. "R" tailpiece with double-notched, six-saddle adjustable bridge. Split-level white pickguard with Carl Wilson's signature & Limited Edition logo. Guitar weighs a delightful 6 lbs 15.3 oz.
Electronics: Vintage-style "toaster top" single coils. Dual volume & tone controls with boost blend. 3-way toggle switch with mono & stereo outputs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original vintage-style hardshell case included along with Certificate of Authenticity & some Rickenbacker goodies.
