Description
Made for only a brief period, from 1988 until 1990, this ultra cool Susanna Hoffs Limited Edition model is number 28 in a production run of 250. It features a regular scale length neck on a John Lennon-style body with checkered binding. Two "toaster top" single coils along with Rickenbacker's proprietary humbucker in the bridge provide a dynamic array of tones. Original COA included along with other paperwork & original hardshell case. This rare model is very hard to come by & would make an excellent additon to any Rickenbacker afficionado's collection. Professionally set up & ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition for its age & very clean for the most part. There's some mild weather checking & a tiny nick in the finish near the input jack, but overall the guitar is in great shape & really wasn't played.
Neck: Maple neck with white binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Schaller tuners stamped Made In W. Germany. 1 5/8" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rods function perfectly.
Body: Double-cutaway finished in Jetglo with checkered bining on the top & back. "R" tailpiece with six-saddle adjustable bridge. Split-level white pickguard with Susanna Hoffs signature. Guitar weighs 6 lbs 12.5 oz.
Electronics: Two "toaster top" single coils in the neck & middle positions & a Ric humbucker in the bridge. Dual volume & tone controls with boost blend. 3-way toggle switch & mono output. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA & other original paperwork.
