Description
The Maui Wowie Custom was created with tone woods that are grown naturally on the islands of Hawaii. This unique round shoulder dreadnought is one of a special run of 24 built in the month of June, 2003 and is being sold complete with its original COA & all the original paperwork as well. The all Koa body produces a rich, sweet tone that not only sparkles, but projects with great volume. Professionally inspected & set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it plays & sounds fantastic!
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean with some mild surface scratches, light finish checking & tiny nicks & dings. Overall the guitar looks great & has an ultra cool vibe to it.
Neck: Nicely rounded mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Vintage-style tuners with Butterbean buttons & gold hardware. Gibson Custom Shop logo on the back of the headstock. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, round shoulder dreadnought with solid Koa top, back & sides. The variegation in the Koa throughout the body is really gorgeous. Rosewood bridge with abalone dot inlays & compensated saddle. Cream end pins with abalone inlays. 3-ring rosette & no attached pickguard, however, a small tortoise guard is included with the guitar. Guitar weighs a delightful 4 lbs 6.8 oz.
Electronics: After-market Schertler Bluestick under-saddle pickup with master volume in the soundhole.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with COA & all the paperwork.
