One of the most gorgeous guitars we've had in the shop, this EXP Modern Eagle features lots of stunning flame figuring in the both the top & back of the neck - wow! It utilizes a hum/single/hum (five-coil) pickup configuration & introduces a new & unique switching system that gives players a vast array of tones in one guitar. The 5-way blade switch selects the pickups just as the 509 does (treble, treble & middle, middle, middle & bass, bass). The two paired mini-toggles separate the slug-side coils, turning the humbuckers into true, "TCI-tuned" single coils. There is a single volume & a push/pull tone control that activates both humbuckers when engaged; this allows players to access three pickups simultaneously. Finally, there is a third mini-toggle that changes the volume pot value from 500k to 250k, which gives the guitar a different palette of tones. This electronics design puts a whole set of classic & new tones at your fingertips. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Superb condition - exceptionally clean & still like new with only some very mild surface scratches.
Neck: Pattern shape mahogany neck with lots of flame figuring & white side-dots. Honduran rosewood fingerboard with "old school" abalone bird inlays. 22 frets are clean with no wear. Rosewood headstock veneer with abalone Eagle inlay & EXP truss rod cover. Phase III locking tuners with faux-bone buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body with flame maple Ten Top finished in River Blue. PRS patented tremolo bridge with adjustable brass saddles & original trem arm included. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 9.7 oz.
Electronics: Two TCI humbuckers (neck & bridge) with one PRS single coil (middle). Master volume & tone controls with 5-way selector switch & 3 mini toggles. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original PRS deluxe hardshell case included along with original paperwork.
