Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a great playing Fury with solid tone to boot. The body is incredibly clean for its age and its Sunfire Red finish is as vibrant as ever. The pickup in this bass sounds great and what it lacks in terms of range from simple controls and a single blade configuration, much like a P-Bass, it makes up for in solid tone. The neck is slim, comfortable, and easy to move around and still sports the badge of an era where manufacturing stayed close to home with “Made in USA” on the headstock.
Condition: This bass is in very good condition overall, especially considering its age. It shows only minor dings, dents, chips, and light scratches, but is otherwise in great shape for a bass that’s around 30 years old. The frets show only light wear and still have a full lifetime of playing left in them. It is missing a truss rod cover and the cavity is a little rough around the edges. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning.
Body: Double offset cutaway body in Sunfire Red finish. Fixed chrome 4-saddle adjustable bridge. 3-ply black pickguard. Nickel top hat control knobs with Peavey sharp P logo top.
Neck: Slim profile C shape maple neck and maple fingerboard with black dot inlays. Chrome open-gear tuning machines with clover keys. 1 11/16” nut width. 34” scale. Missing truss rod cover.
Electronics: Single angled blade-style single-coil pickup. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control.
Weight: 9 lbs 7.4 oz
Playability/Sound: The slim C neck is very easy to move around and should be an easy transition for most players. The pickup has nice low end response with solid mid-range character and clarity to boot.
Case: Includes hardshell case.
