Description
What makes this guitar special: This is a great-playing acoustic that provides excellent resistance to shifts in heat and humidity. The synthetic bowl-back is very comfortable to play while sitting or standing and is largely much more durable than standard wooden builds. With a spruce top, it still has solid projection and has a responsive upper mid-range with great articulation. The electronics system is simple, but accurately outputs the tone with enough control to contour the sound from the top and bottom. Plus, the neck plays easy and everything is still in great shape for a used guitar.
Condition: This Ovation is in excellent condition overall. It shows only minor dings and light scratches, but is otherwise in fantastic shape for a used guitar. The frets show only very light wear if any and still have a ton of playing time left in them. The neck is straight.
Body: Single cutaway bowl-back acoustic body and a spruce top with multi-ply binding. Leaf-shaped carved soundhole frames on each shoulder. Mahogany string-through bridge and uncompensated saddle.
Neck: Soft V shape mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with dot and diamond inlays. Closed-back gold tuning machines. 1 5/8” nut width. 25.5” scale.
Electronics: Basic under-saddle pickup with treble, bass, and gain controls on the preamp.
Weight: 5 lbs 1.5 oz
Playability/Sound: The soft v neck plays great, especially with chords in the first position, but plays almost equally as nice at length. The tone is bright and tight with a responsive upper mid-range.
Case: Includes original hardshell case.
