Description
Condition: This is a very unique Mexican instrument that has nothing but potential to be a great player. The bridge is lifting up at the bottom creating a sizeable gap between the guitar top and the bridge. This is ultimately resulting in slightly higher action (see photos). All of the braces are in good structural condition and there are no cracks on the guitar. The only structural issue is the bridge. Cosmetically there are various surface scratches throughout the instrument. Overall the guitar is very clean!
Body: Double-bound body with Florentine cutaway. Solid cedar top and Sapele back and sides in natural finish. Rosewood bridge with ivoroid saddle, intricate inlays around the sound hole and rope inlays around the binding.
Body Dimensions: Lower bout: 15 ¼” wide x 4 ¾” deep. Upper bout: 11.5” wide x 4 5/8” deep.
Neck: Wide mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, white dot fret markers and a 2 5/16” nut. Slotted peg head with six-on-a-strip tuners, 25 ¾” scale length.
Weight: 5lbs, 1.5oz.
Playability/Sound: This is a gorgeous guitar overall that has nothing but potential to be a great player. After the bridge is re-glued this guitar will sound excellent with plenty of resonance. The wide neck is very comfortable and perfect for chords or fingerstyle.
