Description
Classic herringbone, East Indian rosewood, ebony & spruce in the shape that started it all, the Dreadnought. Paired with Martin's most comfortable neck, vintage appointments & scalloped, forward-shifted bracing. Powerful bottom end, rich tone & strums that will fill any room. This gorgeous sounding HD-28 is finished in a beautiful Ambertone & has been professionally set up by the experts here at Cream City Music, so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Used, but not abused with various surface scratches, mostly from pick wear. The top seam had separated just ever so slightly, so our tech professionally glued & cleated it. Overall the guitar has a very clean look to it.
Neck: Mahogany neck with white side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone diamond inlays. Frets are in great shape with hardly any wear. Grover open-gear tuners with Butterbean knobs. 1 3/4" nut width; 25.4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought in high gloss finish. Solid spruce top finished in Ambertone with Herringbone purfling. Tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Ebony bridge with compensated saddle. Cream bridge pins with tortoise dot inlays. Solid Indian rosewood back & sides with zig zag center strip. There are no electronics & the guitar weighs 4 lbs 7.9 oz.
Case: Unoriginal, yet very nice hardshell case included.
