The D-18 Modern Deluxe is a new take on Martin Vintage. This guitar is packed with custom features & modern technology that you have to see, feel & hear for yourself. The vintage appointments include a spruce VINTAGE TONE SYSTEM (VTS) top, a dovetail neck joint & natural protein glue construction that give it the rich, fully aged Martin tone that has inspired generations. The look is unlike anything in their production line to date with East Indian rosewood binding, stylish gold frets, gold open-gear tuners & a unique 1930s style script logo inlaid in pearl on the headstock. Some ultra-modern features include Liquidmetal bridge pins with red dots & a composite carbon fiber bridgeplate that boosts volume. Also included is a new neck shape that is slightly asymmetrical for maximum hand comfort up & down the fretboard. This guitar is anything but standard. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall with some mild surface scratches.
Neck: Vintage Deluxe shape mahogany neck with High-Performance Taper. Ebony fingerboard with abalone dot inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Gold Waverly open-gear Butterbean tuners. 1 3/4" nut width; 25.4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Double-bound dreadnought body in natural high-gloss finish. Solid spruce VTS top with tortoise pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Ebony bridge with Liquidmetal end pins & compensated saddle. Solid mahogany back & sides. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 4.5 oz.
Electronics: Fishman Aura VT with soundhole-mounted control knobs.
Case: Original hardshell case included.
