A gorgeous Custom Shop model with a huge voice. Based on an 0-42 this lovely guitar features an Engelmann Spruce top with Madagascar rosewood for the back & sides. This stunning guitar was just recently acquired from a private collection of nearly 40 rare & vintage Martin guitars, including tenors as well as mandolins, ukes & banjos. Cosmetic Condition: Superb condition - very clean & still like new with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: V-shaped mahogany neck with ivoroid binding & black side-dots. Ebony fingerboard with abalone snowflake inlays. Frets show only a tiny bit of wear & have tons of life in them. Slotted headstock with abalone torch inlay. Waverly side-mounted tuners with ivoroid buttons. 1 3/4" width bone nut; 25" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Double-bound O-style body. Solid Engelmann Spruce top with abalone purfling. Tortoise pickguard & abalone rosette. Ebony pyramid bridge with bone saddle. Cream end pins with abalone dot inlays. Solid Madagascar Rosewood back & sides with with some gorgeous figuring. Multi-colored Herringbone center strip. Guitar weighs 4 lbs 1.2 oz.
