Description
What’s special about this bass: This is an ultra cool, great playing Jerry Jones longhorn bass. Jerry Jones guitars and basses are no longer made in the US but this model was and even features a Made in USA sticker on the back of the headstock. This is also a very rare seafoam green finish. Only a small number of instruments were made with this finish. Both the fact that this is a USA made model and has a rare finish makes this bass very desirable! Other features include dual lipstick pickups and a three-point vintage-style bridge.
Condition: Good shape overall! There are various scratches, nicks, dings, dents and chips throughout the bass. There are a couple of larger finish blemishes on the front and back and a small amount of moisture damage on the top just beneath the bridge. This moisture damage is entirely dried, is causing no structural issues and is merely cosmetic. The fingerboard and frets have light play wear and plenty of life left in them. The neck is super comfortable with great action up and down the fingerboard. Note: This model does not have a truss rod. The original pickguard is missing however all electronics and parts are in perfect working condition.
Body: Hollow body with seafoam green top and back and vinyl sides. Three-point chrome bridge with a rosewood saddle and dual plastic control knobs. The original pickguard is missing but the screws for the guard are still in place.
Neck: Super comfortable and very nicely rounded neck with a rosewood fingerboard. Pearloid dot inlays and a 1 11/16” nut. Vintage-style nickel tuners, 29 ¾” scale length.
