A Limited Edition 500/1 commemorating the Beatles appearance on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. Sources indicate only 64 of these basses were made & feature gold hardware along with Ed Sullivan commemorative decals - on the pickguard & back of the headstock.
Professionally set up so it's ready to play straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Great shape overall with some weather checking & mild play wear. There's a tiny bit of binding shrinkage in the body waist.
Neck: Flame maple neck with rosewood fingerboard & mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Open-back strip tuners with cream buttons. 1 5/8" nut width with zero fret; 30" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, violin-shaped body in sunburst finish. Carved spruce top with flame maple back & sides. Trapeze tailpiece with adjustable ebony bridge & pearloid pickguard. Bass weighs 4 lbs 15.4 oz.
Electronics: Hofner "staple" pickups with black bezels. Dual volume controls with "tea cup" knobs. Rhythm/Solo, Bass & Treble switches are all in good working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with accessories.
