Probably the most recognizable bass on the planet, Hofner's violin bass has inspired countless musicians to play & be heard. This cool budget-grade import features a pair of "staples" pickups & a smooth, comfortable neck.
Cosmetic Condition: Various minor nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches. The original pickguard is missing & the screw holes have been filled.
Neck: Maple & Beech neck with rosewood fingerboard & dot inlays. Frets are in great shape with no wear. Open-gear tuners in good working condition. 1 9/16" nut width; 30 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Double-bound, violin-shaped body in sunburst finish. Spruce top with maple back & sides. The back shows off some nice flame figuring. Trapeze tailpiece with adjustable bridge. Again the pickguard is missing & the holes have been filled. Bass weighs 5 lbs 6.8 oz.
Electronics: Hofner "staple top" pickups with black bezels. Dual volume controls with Rhythm/Solo, Bass & Treble switches. All electronics are in good working condition.
Case: There is no case.
