Description

What makes this guitar special? This is a uniquely shaped guitar with a very defined aesthetic and great sounding pickups. The body itself is relatively complex, as the top sports a contoured edge that wraps around both horns and disappears into the lower bout. It is mirrored by the multi-ply top binding that surrounds the body and provides a perfect frame for its distinct shape. The silver pearloid pickguard and pickup covers provide an additional level of interest to the overall appearance as they shine and sparkle under lights. The pickups themselves sound great, and between the warm and round neck tone, and the bright and jangly bridge, provide a good range of response. It also comes loaded with a “Shade” vibrato tailpiece and roller bridge for extra dynamic when playing. The neck plays easily, the controls are simple and intuitive, and for the money, this guitar provides a ton of value in terms of look, sound, and playability.

Condition: This guitar is in very good condition overall. It does show various nicks, dings, dents, and light scratches, but largely remains clean and still looks great. The frets show only light wear and still have a ton of life left in them. The neck is comfortable and the truss rod is functioning.

Body: Double cutaway body in Black finish with 3-ply top binding. 3-ply pickguard. Locking roller bridge and vibrato tailpiece.

Neck: Slim C shape neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with tiny dot inlays. Vintage-style tuning machines. 1 5/8” nut width. 24 ¾” scale length. Finish-matching headstock.

Electronics: Hand-wound “Shade” soapbar pickups in the neck and bridge. 1 x volume, 1 x tone control. 3-way pickup selector.

Weight: 8 lbs 13.5 oz

Playability/Sound: The neck is easy and comfortable. The pickups have a little hotter output and sound great in both positions with a bit more warmth and full sound in the bridge and bright and jangly in the bridge.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
