Description

What makes this guitar special: The Hagstrom Pat Smear Signature model is based on the customized, workhorse instrument that the prolific guitarist has been using on the road for his lengthy career. Taking design elements from a Vintage Hagstrom H-IIN-OT and a modern day Super Swede, this mahogany and maple bodied guitar has tons of depth and projection, and the Custom Hagstrom humbuckers have more than enough output and clarity to cut through any mix. Featuring a professional set up from our in-house technician, this roadworthy guitar is guaranteed to play great right out of the case.

Condition: This Hagstrom is in excellent condition overall. There are some extremely light surface scratches, but even these are minimal and confined to the common playing areas. The frets show little to no play wear and have tons of life left. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions perfectly.

Body: Double cutaway contoured mahogany body with a custom carved maple cap in gloss black finish. Single ply cream binding. Chrome Tune-o-Matic roller bridge and staggered block tailpiece w/ cover. 3-ply raised black pickguard. Half knurled chrome control knobs.

Neck: Medium depth D shape mahogany neck (.88" at the 1st fret, .90" at the 12th fret) and bound Resinator fingerboard with Hagstrom pearl block inlays. Hagstrom Die Cast Imperial-style chrome tuning machines. Pearloid headstock binding. 1 11/16” nut width. 24.75” scale.

Electronics: Hagstrom Custom 58 Alnico humbuckers. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.

Weight: 9 lbs. 1.3 oz.

Playability/Sound: The D shape neck has a comfortable feel from the nut up into the cutaway and should be a familiar shape for many players. The pickups are full and warm with a brighter, crisper bridge response that is perfect for vintage jangle or cutting leads.

Case: Includes original gigbag.
