Description
What we've got here is a Rancher style acoustic-electric with a slightly arched top, magnetic humbucking pickup, rocking bar bridge and of course the Bigsby tremolo factory installed. The result is one very strange yet incredibly compelling guitar! This thing is just a blast to play and there's almost no way you can pick it up without cracking a smile and having some fun. The acoustic tone is punchy and bright with a deep bass, soft midrange and slightly jangly treble. It's great for twangy country-blues playing and rhythm strumming. The acoustic tone is actually quite reminiscent of the early Rancher models that featured and archtop style bridge. The Fideli'Tron pickup yields a warm and resonant sound and has a great retro look. The guitar works just as well through a nice tube amp as it does though an acoustic amp or PA system. With a tube amp you can dial in a little bit of "grit" and achieve a fantastic twangy growl or you can keep it clean and get a really sweet tone with dense harmonics and thumpy bass. It's very different from the ubiquitous piezo sound so common with acoustic electric guitars. The guitar plays really well with great action and really comfy "C" shaped neck. This is a really versatile guitar with truly a unique looks and tone to match.
