Description
The SG Bass has the legendary looks, sound & feel which made it one of Gibson's most iconic basses. The short scale length is actually a big part of the sound & preferred by many for the strong fundamental tone for which it's known. The solid mahogany body has deeply sculpted scarfing & the rounded profile mahogany neck is exceptionally comfortable to play anywhere on the fretboard. A pair of calibrated SG bass pickups with individual volume & master tone controls add further tonal possibilities. Professionally set up with fresh strings & low action.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall with only some very mild surface scratches.
Neck: Rounded mahogany neck with cream side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with acrylic trapezoid inlays. Medium Jumbo frets are clean with no wear. Grover "shamrock" tuners & SG truss rod cover. 1 9/16" nut width; 30 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works fine.
Body: Contoured, solid mahogany body finished in Heritage Cherry. Top-loading 3-point bridge with four adjustable saddles. 5-ply black pickguard & chrome hardware. Bass weighs 7 lbs 3.2 oz & is exceptionally resonant!
Electronics: SG Bass Rhythm & Lead humbuckers. Dual volume & master tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
