Description
This is a Feb 2008 Guitar Of The Month SG with a lot of unique qualities. First off, the Metallic Red finish and gold hardware look absolutely dynamite, especially with the sculpted top and back that give the guitar twice the amount of contour and curvature as a standard model. The cream trim rings, switch tip, neck binding, and rosewood fingerboard add just the right amount of natural color to this bright and shining beast. The pickups sound great in all positions and produce the right amount of chunk and growl to aptly complement the overall aesthetic and theme of this guitar. In addition, this is a very clean piece that would make a distinct addition to anyone's collection.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition overall - very clean with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: Slim taper mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are clean with no wear. Grover Rotomatic Keystone tuners. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works great with SG-engraved, gold cover.
