Description
Made for only one year back in 2001, the Pete Townshend Signature SG Special celebrates the guitar that made "Live At Leeds" one of the all-time best live albums ever recorded, and Pete's trusted SG Special was there every step of the way. Featuring an exceptionally comfortable one-piece neck married to one-piece body for extraordinary sustain & resonance. The double soap bar P-90s sound fabulous & deliver muscular yet dynamic tones. Professionally set up & ready for action straight out of the case.
Cosmetic Condition: Aside from a couple of small chemical burn marks on either side of the headstock, the guitar is in great shape & very clean for its age. The marks were most likely caused by a hanger or guitar stand. There are vaious surface scratches, nicks & dings throughout the rest of the guitar, but really nice condition overall.
Neck: One-piece mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Dark rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl dot inlays. Frets are in great with practically no wear. Grover Rotomatic tuners & Pete Townshend signature on the back of the headstock. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Contoured, solid, one-piece mahogany body. Compensated, wrap-around bridge with 5-ply, large black pickguard. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 1.1 oz.
Electronics: P-90 single coils with black "soap bar" covers. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included with Pete Townshend signature on the shroud.
