Description

What makes this guitar special? This is easily one of the most naturally resonant guitars Gibson has produced in the last few years and also features a killer look to boot. The figuring in the top and back is absolutely fantastic with large psychedelic swirls gracing just about every inch of visible space, all under a classic hue of Sixties Cherry. Nickel P-90 covers and hardware give it a bit of extra shine while the cream binding on the body and neck add some contrast to the warmth of its color scheme. The pickups sound awesome across the board and have a ton of classic P-90 chime, but with a little extra character in the mid-range. Its body is incredibly light and well-balanced, and thanks to its construction and lacquer finish, is also exceptionally resonant. In addition, this guitar is super clean and our techs have given it a great setup so it plays beautifully.

Condition: This guitar is in excellent condition overall. It does show a few light surface scratches and a small ding here or there, but is still incredibly clean and still looks fantastic. The frets show minimal wear and still have a full lifetime left in them. The neck is straight and the truss rod functions as it should.

Body: Double cutaway hollow body with a 3-ply maple and poplar top, back, and rims, cream binding, and Sixties Cherry lacquer finish. Tone Pro AVR-2 bridge and trapeze tailpiece. Black top hat knobs with silver inserts.

Neck: One-piece traditional C shape mahogany neck and cream-bound 12” radius rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays. 1.675” bone nut. Vintage-style Kluson single-ring tuning machines with tulip buttons. F hole truss rod cover.

Electronics: MHS P-90 in the neck and MHS P-90 reverse polarity in the bridge. 2 x volume, 2 x tone controls. 3-way pickup selector.

Weight: 5.5 lbs

Playability/Sound: The pickups have a ton of classic P-90 chime and character with a little extra honk in the midrange. The neck is very easy to move around and the body is exceptionally light, well-balanced, and wonderfully resonant to boot.

Case: Includes original hardshell case.
