The Les Paul Special returns to the classic design that made it relevant, played and loved shaping sound across generations and genres of music. It pays tribute to Gibson's Golden Era of innovation and brings authenticity back to life. Originally introduced in 1955, the Les Paul Special has been embraced by musicians for over 60 years. It is based on the Les Paul Junior with a slab mahogany body, fat 50s-style mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, wraparound bridge, an additional rhythm P-90 pickup, binding on the neck and additional controls for the rhythm pickup and the 3-way toggle switch.
Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition - very clean with only some mild surface scratches.
Neck: 50's Vintage mahogany neck with cream binding & black side-dots. Rosewood fingerboard with acrylic dot inlays. Medium Jumbo frets are clean with practically no wear. Gibson Deluxe tuners with white buttons. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod works perfectly.
Body: Single cutaway, solid mahogany body finished in Vintage Cherry. Wraparound tailpiece /bridge with nickel hardware. 5-ply black pickguard & single-ply black jackplate. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 8.4 oz.
Electronics: Dual P-90 single coils with black "soapbar" covers & 3-way toggle switch. Dual volume & tone controls with black "top hat" knobs. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original hardshell case included along with accessories.
