Description
This Gibson Les Paul Special SL is a top-notch rock 'n' roll machine. With its vintage-inspired natural finish, thick, powerful humbuckers, and unique mini trapezoid inlays, this Les Paul is the perfect blend of innovative and traditional. If you've been in the market for a more uncommon Les Paul that isn't too outlandish, this Les Paul Special SL is a perfect fit.
Cosmetic Condition: This guitar is in good condition for its age. You can tell it's been well-loved and well-gigged, with finish checking across the body, several dings and scratches, and a large blemish on the face of the headstock, but it's got plenty of character.
Neck: Slim taper mahogany neck with 22 fret rosewood fingerboard and pearloid trapezoid inlays. The frets have light wear but still have plenty of life, the truss rod is fully functional, and it's an absolute joy to riff on. The neck measures 1.6875" wide at the nut, 0.80" thick at the 1st fret, and 0.89" thick at the 12th fret.
Body: This Gibson features a mahogany body that projects a rich tone with deep lows, pronounced mids, and loads of sustain. Weighing in at a comfortable 8 lbs. 3.8 oz., this Les Paul isn't awkwardly heavy.
Electronics: This Les Paul comes equipped with a 490R neck pickup and a 498T bridge humbucker, giving it a nice blend of warmth and crunch. Roll on the neck pickup, and this Les Paul will churn out a rich, open sound, great for rhythm playing. Crank the bridge humbucker, and this LP will snarl with punchy, pronounced upper mids. All electronics are fully functional.
Case: Ships with an Epiphone hardshell case.
